When is a corrective action ready to close?
An action is ready for a closure decision when the agreed response has been completed and suitable evidence supports its effectiveness. This register keeps the finding, cause, action and verification separate. Recording a completion date does not by itself establish that recurrence has been prevented.
How to use this tool
- State the criterion and the evidence behind the finding without unsupported generalisations.
- Separate an immediate correction from an action addressing the cause.
- Assign an owner, due date and proportionate method for checking effectiveness.
- Record the verification evidence and decision before closing the action; keep an export under your own access controls.
Scope and limitations
This browser register does not independently verify evidence, approve findings or send reminders. Any sample records are fictional. Local browser saving is optional and is not secure shared document management.
Use the relevant standard guide for current primary sources. Read the editorial method before relying on an example.
